To participate in Emory University's supplier diversity program, please follow the instructions listed in “Doing Business with Emory."
There are a number of ways. The ideal diverse supplier will have:
- At least one diverse business classification
- A strong credit rating
- Positive brand recognition
- Solid references

Emory's Procurement and Support Services department:
- Works closely with the sourcing managers, buyers, and end users in sourcing diverse suppliers
- Negotiates industrial standard commodities with Small MWBEs
- Holds large contract suppliers accountable to assisting Procurement with Tier 1 Small MWBEs
- Assists with composing small business subcontracting plans (SBSPs) on all federal contracts that exceed $700,000
- Attends team meetings during the federal solicitation process and/or the Notification of Award (NOA)
- Encourages engagement and support from executive leadership
- Prepares documentation for the federal reporting process, including reports on whether minority goals have been achieved
- Tracks and monitors quarterly reports
- Coaches' diverse suppliers on how to do business with Emory University
