Susan Cooper

Susan serves as the Senior Associate Vice President for Analytics and Business Intelligence. In this role, she provides strategic leadership for the university’s analytics, reporting, business intelligence, and decision support functions. Her responsibilities include advancing the university’s use of data and analytics to support strategic planning, financial stewardship, operational excellence, and institutional effectiveness. Working collaboratively across academic and administrative units, Susan advances the effective use of data and serves as the strategic advisor to university leadership, translating complex data into meaningful insights and recommendations that drive institutional priorities and improve organizational effectiveness in support of the university’s mission. Susan has held various roles at Emory during her tenure, including roles in an academic department, central school administration, and university administration. Prior to joining Emory, she served as the executive administrator for the center for advanced surgical and interventional technology (CASIT) at the University of California, Los Angeles. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Richmond and served for 3 years on the Analytics Advisory Group for the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO).

Matt Greaves

As Senior Associate Vice President, Treasury & Capital Management, Matt leads the Treasury & Debt Management teams. He oversees enterprise leadership for treasury, liquidity, debt management, capital funding, banking relationships, and long-term financing strategies that support Emory's financial sustainability and strategic investments. Working closely with Emory University and Emory Healthcare, Matt ensures operational banking needs are met through deployment of banking solutions that optimize technology for efficient and secure processing of banking transactions, and ensures funding needs for critical projects are met as through issuance of debt instruments through the capital markets, balancing the short-term and intermediate liquidity needs of the enterprise with long-term considerations of the impact of debt on the balance sheet. Matt has been at Emory for the last seven years, primarily overseeing the enterprise treasury function during that time. Prior to his time at Emory, Matt spent nearly 20 years at Georgetown University providing leadership over their institutional operating budgets, institutional capital plans, and multi-year cash flow plans, as well as oversight over their treasury function. Matt holds a B.S in Finance from Rutgers University and an MBA from Georgetown University.

Adam Greenfield

Serving as Vice President and Enterprise Controller at Emory University, Adam leads the Office of the Controller and provides enterprise-wide leadership for accounting, payroll, financial reporting, audit coordination, and compliance activities across both Emory University and Emory Healthcare. He also oversees Enterprise Financial Systems, helping ensure financial processes, data, and systems are aligned to support the institution's strategic and operational needs. Prior to joining Emory, Adam spent more than 15 years in public accounting at Deloitte, holding multiple leadership roles in audit and assurance serving both public and private organizations in the Atlanta metro area. He brings extensive expertise in SEC reporting, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), regulatory compliance, and internal controls over financial reporting. Adam holds a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Management from Tulane University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Marissa Pace

As Senior Associate Vice President for Financial Planning & Analysis, Marissa leads the Integrated Financial Planning and Budgeting (IFPB) team. Her responsibilities include overseeing the university's annual budget process, long-range financial planning, financial performance reporting, resource allocation modeling, and enterprise financial analysis. Marissa partners with academic and administrative leaders across the enterprise to advance institutional priorities, support data-informed decision-making and strengthen financial stewardship in support of Emory's mission. Marissa joined Emory from Spelman College, where she led accounting, budgeting, payroll, accounts payable, student accounts, capital planning, auxiliary services, financial reporting, tax compliance, and external audits. Her experience also includes finance and leadership roles with KPMG LLP, The Coca-Cola Company, and AT&T, reflecting more than two decades of experience in financial planning, business operations, compliance, risk management, and process improvement. She serves on the board of directors for the Children's Museum of Atlanta and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). She earned a Bachelor of Science and MBA from Florida A&M University and a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree from the University of Georgia.

Urvi Patel

Urvi Patel serves as the Associate Vice President for Enterprise Financial Systems. Reporting to Adam Greenfield, Urvi leads the Enterprise Financial Systems teams, providing strategic and operational leadership for financial systems, partnering closely across Finance, Information Technology, and with business leaders to advance financial systems capabilities, strengthen data and reporting, and drive continuous improvement across our financial processes and technologies. Urvi's experience spans the cash application process, grants, and collaborating with teams across the enterprise for more than 26 years at Emory. She holds an MBA from Emory, as well as a B.S. in Finance from University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
